What Is The Size Of The Most Commonly Used Reamer Stabilizers?

Oct 25, 2023

After rigorous demonstration by the Vigor team, the roller centralizers most commonly used in oil and gas downholes have the following specifications:

Reamer stabilizers for 4 3/4" – 7” Hole sizes

Reamer stabilizers for 9 ¼” – 10 ¼” Hole sizes

Reamer stabilizers for 11 – 12 ¼” Hole sizes

Reamer stabilizers for 13 – 15” Hole sizes

Reamer stabilizers for 15 ¼” – 18 ¼” Hole sizes

Reamer stabilizers for 18” – 22” Hole sizes

Reamer stabilizers for 17 ½” – 20” Hole sizes

Vigor's Roller Reamer is an efficient bottom-hole assembly reaming and torque-reducing tool. It provides reaming action for improving borehole shape size and quality. It also provides stabilization action by centralizing the BHA, minimizing down-hole vibrations preventing the BHA from resting on the low side of the deviated hole, and minimizing BHA fatigue. Torque reduction results from touching the formation with a set of rollers spinning around their axes as a result of the rotation of the central body.

The Roller Reamer is consisting of a body, cutter, bearing pin, upper block, lower block, secondary lock block, saver washer, cross pin, washer, and lock bolt. The body of the Rotary reamer is made of high-quality alloy steel and heated up to the Brinell hardness 285~341, and the minimum impact strength is up to 54 J. The ultrasonic sound flaw detection is made at the overall length of the body. The thread is phosphate, greased, and equipped with a thread protector as per API specification. If you are interested in Roller Reamer at vigor, do not hesitate to contact us.
