Tubing Head Assembly
The Tubing Head Assembly is a device component that connects the uppermost casing head and the oil (gas) tree to suspend the tubing and seal the annular space between the tubing and the casing.
The Tubing Head Assembly is located above the casing head and includes the casing tee and tubing hanger.
Its function is to suspend the oil pipe, downhole tools, and seal the oil jacket ring space in the well.
Description
The Tubing Head Assembly is a critical wellhead component in oil and gas production operations. It serves as the primary interface between the production tubing string and the surface equipment, such as the Christmas tree, it is located above the casing head and includes the casing tee and tubing hanger. Its function is to suspend the oil pipe, and downhole tools, and seal the oil jacket ring space in the well. This assembly comprises three main parts: the Tubing Head, Tubing Spool, and Tubing Hanger. The Tubing Head provides the connection point for the Tubing Hanger, which suspends and seals the production tubing string. The Tubing Spool acts as a spacer between the Tubing Head and the Christmas Tree valve assembly.

Vigor's Tubing Head Assembly Details
The tubing Head (Spool) provides a means to support and seal a tubing string. The upper section has a straight type bowl and a 45° load shoulder to support and seal the tubing string employing a tubing hanger.
There is a full set of lock screws to safely secure the tubing hanger in the head. The lower section houses a secondary seal to isolate the production casing string and provide a means to test the wellhead seals. Threaded or weld-on tubing head (spool) attaches directly to the production casing.
The Tubing Hanger is located in the tubing head, with both components incorporating a sealing system to ensure that the tubing conduit and annulus are hydraulically isolated.
It is set in the tree or the wellhead and suspends the production tubing and/or casing.
Sometimes it provides porting to allow the communication of hydraulic, electric and other downhole functions, as well as chemical injection. It also serves to seal-in the annulus and production areas.
