Application and Benefits

VR-HPT Retrievable Packer HTHP Type-2
  • The Mandrel not move during setting.
  • No O-rings above the packing elememt to reducing the risk of failure.
  • Double grips capable of withstanding bidirectional pressure.
  • The special upper-slip structure is designed for easy unlocking.
  • Same inner diameter as the tubing.

Operation

 

  • Top end connects the tubing string + anchoring seal; Bottom end connects the POP or similar tool for running into the well.
  • After the tubing string is properly positioned, drop a ball to pressurize and dislodge the ball seat, completing the packer setting.
  • When needed, rotate the tubing right hand to release the anchoring seal.
  • Lowering the tubing string will connect the anchoring seal to the packer.
  • When unlocking, first rotate right hand to remove the anchored sealing string, then lower in the dedicated unlocking tool and simply pull it upward to release the lock.
