Vigor VTS Telemetry Sub acts as the data-com-munication bridge between the surface acquisition system and the downhole logging instruments. It contains the cable-bus and instru- ment bus interfaces, a main control- ler, and a step-down DC-DC power section. The sub acquires tool data via the instrument bus, packets it, and transmits it to the surface acqui- sition chassis through the cable-bus interface; at the same time the surface system can send com- mands to configure or control both the telemetry sub and the logging tools, realizing full-duplex communication.

Water holdup sensor adopts the capacitance method to measure the ratio of water to hydrocarbons in the well. Temp. sensor uses a platinum resistance temp. probe to respond quickly and accurately to the temp. of the well fluid. The flowmeter are used to detect the rotation speed of the impeller.
