Coupling Cutting
According to the requirements of the contract process, the entire coupling material tube is sawed into standard lengths of blanks to be processed, ensuring the verticality and outer surface quality of each section of the blank end face, as well as the axial processing allowance of the blank, to facilitate subsequent thread processing by the threading machine.
Threading
The blanks cut by the cutting station are transported to the threading station for thread processing, and the machine tool × and Z axis servo motors are driven by the CNC processing program instructions to drive the tool table to feed. At the same time, the CNC program also drives the spindle to rotate, driving the coupling to rotate at high speed, and the thread processing is completed through the tool table feeding and the high-speed rotation.
Thread Inspection
According to the inspection points of different buckle types, the various parameters of the finished coupling are measured, mainly including thread height, thread diameter, taper, pitch, etc., and the appearance quality is inspected to ensure that all inspection items are within the tolerance range.
Burr grinding
After the thread processing is completed, burrs will be generated at the starting thread position. In order to prevent the burrs from being drawn into the coupling and the pipe body during the screwing process, thereby causing the thread to stick, it is necessary to use a pneumatic grinder to grind off the burrs to ensure the thread connection performance.
Nondestructive testing
In order to prevent products with quality defects from flowing into the next process, before phosphating, its inner and outer surfaces need to be inspected by wet magnetic particle flaw detection one by one, and products with defects such as cracks and pits need to be removed in a timely and accurate manner.
Phosphating of couplings
In order to prevent the thread from sticking during the screwing process and ensure the connection strength of the thread, the thread surface needs to be phosphated to increase the wear resistance of the thread surface and prevent thread damage.
