In beam pumping, the power device (usually an electric motor, diesel engine, or natural gas engine) transfers high-speed rotational motion via a belt drive to the gear reducer. After two stages of reduction through a three-shaft gearbox, the crank rocker mechanism converts the rotational motion into the up-and-down oscillating motion of the walking beam. The horsehead hangs the polished rod hanger, which moves the sucker rods and pumps the plunger up and down through reciprocal motion, lifting well fluids to the surface.

2. The walking beam adopts a box or I-beam structure with high strength, stiffness, and load capacity.
3. The gear reducer uses involute or double circular arc helical gears, with high machining accuracy, strong load capacity, and long service life.
4. The Samson post bearing selects medium-wide tapered roller bearings with good sealing performance and high load capacity. The crank pin bearing and pitman bearing use self-aligning bearings to minimize installation errors and vibration during operation.
5. The horsehead can be top-mounted, side-mounted, or inverted.
6. The stand structure is derrick-type with good stability for easy field installation.
7. The crank counterweights adopt gear-rack transmission for convenient and accurate adjustment.
8. The brake is an external contracting type with safety devices, flexible operation, and fast and reliable braking.
9. The base uses anchor bolts or clamp connections.
