Drill pipe is a hollow, thick-walled piping that transmits drilling fluid and torque through the wellbore to the drill bit on a drilling rig, which is manufactured to withstand severe internal and external pressure, distortion, bending, and vibration as it both rotates and lifts the bottom hole assembly (BHA)

Structure

① Pipe Body It is a long cylindrical steel pipe that transmits the rotary motion of the drilling machine to the drill bit and at the same time withstands the tensile force and pressure during drilling. The tube body is usually made of high-strength alloy steel to ensure its durability and performance under extreme conditions.
② Tool Joint Drilling pipe is threaded on each end in a section of pipe referred to as the tool joint, which enables the connection between drill rods and between drill rods and other drilling tools such as drill bits or drill collars.

●Grade E is used in medium-depth wells ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 feet. exhibits the lowest yield strength per unit area with a yield strength of less than 80,000 psi. It is able to withstand a greater percentage of stretch or "strain" prior to fracture than higher-strength drill pipe grades. It is also more resistant to corrosion and cracking.
●Grades X-95, G-105, and S-135 are considered to be of high strength grades. They exhibit an increase in yield strength which normally used for the deeper wells.

③ Vigor's drilling pipe is manufactured, sampled, tested, and inspected following standard specifications such as the American Petroleum Institute (API).
Internal Upset: IU, EU, IEU

To enhance the joint strength, the butt welding parts at both ends of the pipe body are thickened. Internal Upset refers to a phenomenon in which the inner diameter at both ends of the pipe body is reduced, increasing the thickness of the pipe wall. Its outer diameter of the joint remains consistent and the joint's outer diameter is not excessively large. During rotation in the well, the joint has less contact with the wall of the wall and is also less worn.
IU: refers to a joint that comprises only a thickened internal pipe wall. This design enhances the connection strength while maintaining consistency in the outer diameter.
EU: In contrast to IU, the EU refers to a joint in which the outer tube wall is only thickened. This design offers additional protection and strength on the outside but may increase the overall outer diameter of the drilling pipe.
IEU: This design combines the characteristics of IU and EU, that is, the internal and external pipe walls of the joint are thickened. The IEU provides the highest strength and durability for drilling environments that withstand extremely high loads.
Application
Oil and Gas Drilling:
Drill pipes and drill collars are extensively used in oil and gas drilling operations. Drill pipes are used to transmit drilling fluid to the drill bit and provide the conduit through which cuttings are brought to the surface.
