Description
API Coupling is a threaded tubular body that joins two sections of threaded pipe. API 5CT standard products play a significant role in connecting casing and tubing, their manufacturing processes are more stringent, requiring precise controls in various processes, such as forging, raw material, and mechanical testing including tensile strength and impact testing.

Features
(1) It is produced through tube rolling, heat treatment, threading, and other procedures.
(2) Surface treatment: Phosphating
(3) Accordance with API 5CT and 5B standards.
(4) Inspection includes Non-destructive testing and hydrostatic pressure(Max.120 MPa).
Dimensions of Tubing API Coupling (NU)
(1) 2-3/8", 2-7/8" and 3-1/2" O.D. for Tubing, Since tubing is used for drilling operations (and the inside of the tubing is where the drill/pumping string is run), the types of Coupling s are more varied and robust than those used for casing.
The most common type is the External Upset (EU), which has thickened ends (upset) on the outside. EU is the preferred connection type for tubing.

(2) 4-1/2" -20" O.D. for Casing
It is usually non-upset (NU), or Non-Upset Casing, and therefore comes in a few different types:
• BTC: Buttress Thread Casing
• LTC: Long Thread Casing
• STC: Short Thread Casing
All three types of casing have the same body thickness and only differ in length.
It is a necessary component for connecting two sections of casing. To ensure the tightness of the joint, there are strict requirements on the accuracy of the thread.

Material - ASTM Steel Pipes
According to the strength of the steel, the casing can be divided into different steel grades, namely J55, K55, N80, L80, C90, T95, P110, Q125, V150, etc. Different steel grades are used for different well conditions and depths.
In corrosive environments, the casing is also required to be corrosion-resistant. In areas with complex geological conditions, API seamless steel pipes also require the casing to be collapse-resistant.
Production tubing is mainly used to transport oil and gas from the bottom of the well to the surface.
